Guidelines for the Distribution of Funds

Guidelines for the distribution of funds

The Kos Foundation  endeavours to spend their funds in ways that will benefit as many as possible across it areas of focus.

Funds are not generally spent on:

  • Capital projects
  • Individuals.
  • Staff costs or any costs that should be covered by a statutory body / public funds
  • Items that could reasonably be funded by means of an entrance charge or fee.

Applications are particularly welcome for:

  • Medical Project of any kind
  • Researches of any kind which will change Communities to better places or vulnerable people generally
  • Hospitals
  • Carers Homes
  • Pharmacies
  • GP's Practise
  • Students
  • Sport talents
  • Elder people, Patients, families, ...

As a rule of thumb, grants are awarded from £2,500 up to £25,000+.

For Hospitals and other institutions grants could be up to £1,000,000+.

On certain circumstances there are no maximum which we would not fund if the project is of special interests. Three-year funding is exceptionally available.

Evaluation

We ask that recipients prepare a short report within 3 months, for more complex projects within 6 months of a grant being given to enable the The Kos Foundation  to understand the impact of the funding.

Generally we wood like to share information about the grant on our web site and on social media, but we are aware this might not always be passable.
